Hello everyone, I almost missed you guys and I have chosen to assume that you missed me. I’m obviously not leveraging on the fact that I’m difficult to not miss and stuff, I just like to say random stuff at the beginning of a post :|
Well, I got new shoes, I just thought to put that out there . Speaking of shoes, we shall be discussing penny loafers today, I decided all that talk about my feelings and what I’ll rather do , gives too much information away. This post is totally a no strings attached kinda write up, and we all know how us male folk feel about strings.
Shoes are like women in a certain kind of way ,they are beautiful, sort of like God’s gift to mankind and some people believe there is no such thing as having enough.There is at least one reason to fall in love with almost every shoe, right from loafers to lace ups and everything in between.
For the record, the shoes below are a typical example of penny loafers .They are referred to as such because back in the day people used to insert pennies into the diamond-shaped slits of these shoes as a fashion statement, beelie dat.
The best penny loafers are from Gucci and Baker black and Ferragamo and all the luxury brands that I’ll be adorning my feet with when I grow up . However in the mean time , I’m copping these ladies from Ben Sherman , they are brown and we have established that brown is a hot color. The best way to rock this shoes is with straight jeans like mine , (you can cop your copy at Zara , silver bird galleria) . A check shirt from J.crew will compliment them pants. This look, is one I’ve been meaning to reenact for years, as soon as I get the shoes, all that would be left is the shirt , I can skip the shades.
This is a more sophisticated outfit, however do not falter, be of good cheer and spirit. The Juggernaut here is the blazer, I know they have similar ones at David Wej, only thing is they will set you back by at least thirty five g’s. I’m looking into edited versions of the outfit though. As soon as I come up with something or give up and buy it, you will be the first to know. And that’s a wrap, as usual stay fresh or don’t stay at all – Tylr
